Water Restoration: How To Prevent Mold

Mold can grow as fast as 24-48 Hours after moisture has saturated building materials. It is important to take the needed steps to prevent future issues, further damages, and proper restoration.

1.Stop The Water Source

3. Clean & Apply Anti-Microbial

4. Dry or Remove Saturated Building Materials

Mold needs a food source to grow. Naturally, any level of restoration is not going to be suitable if the issue itself is not rectified in a correct manner. You can shut the water off at the house, sink, faucet, etc. But it is always a good idea to have a professional take a look as soon as possible.

Removing in water is crucial to do in a timely manner. The longer it sits, the more it staurates, which leads to further repairs.

Appropriate cleaning procedures must be done to eliminate dust, residual water, stagnet water, etc. Anti-Microbial is usually what is required to prevent mold growth. Organic Anti Microbial is a good idea when people, children, or animals are present.

The structure, Walls, Flooring, and other porous materials must be dried. This process is called, The Dry-out , and usually reuires equipment to be placed and monitored in your home for 3 to 5 days.

Now that the mold had been prevented, steps have been taken to mitgate damages, you are now ready for the rebuild!
